WHAT IS LAWN BOWLING?

It’s an outdoor game in which a ball (known as a bowl) is rolled toward a smaller stationary ball, called a jack. The object is to roll one's bowls so that they come to rest nearer to the jack than those of an opponent. This is sometimes achieved by knocking aside an opponent's bowl or the jack.

WHAT BENEFITS ARE THERE IN LAWN BOWLING?

Not only is Lawn Bowling fun and great for the whole family but it has some major health benefits as well:

  • improved fitness.

  • improved coordination and skill development.

  • increased confidence and self-esteem.
